An instructional effectiveness specialist with the Chicago Public Schools, Suzana Ustabecir draws upon more than 15 years experience as an educator and school administrator. Before assuming her current position in September of 2016, she served in the Chicago schools for seven years as a K-8 principal and for two years as a resident/assistant principal. Suzana Ustabecir also taught in the Chicago Public School System for six years, instructing students in math and science as the magnet-cluster lead teacher at Chopin Elementary School. Her accomplishments as a classroom instructor include boosting ISAT math and science test scores, creating extended learning opportunities for her students and collaborating with parents and administration in creating family activities.
In addition to working directly with students, Suzana Ustabecir helps foster increased student achievement through her involvement with New Leaders for New Schools. She is also certified by REACH to address the unique educational needs of students with a range of medical disorders and learning disabilities. |
